Summary

Stage 12 of the Giro d'Italia 2026 and the peloton rode hard today. No one was gifting the sprinters their day. Milan and Magnier were forced to watch their chances slip away as the race stayed aggressive. Ben Turner had to fight his way back after a puncture at the worst possible moment. Ciccone went from 7 kilometres out, desperate for a stage win, but the peloton weren't letting him go. Then Alec Segaert attacked with 3 kilometres to go with nobody able or willing to follow. A perfectly timed move that left everyone else looking at each other. And Jonathan Milan is running out of stages to win fast. Ned Boulting and Jacopo Guarnieri break it all down.
