Stage 13 of the Giro d'Italia 2026 and patience beat power on the final climb. A frustrated Filippo Ganna couldn't make it into the break in his home town. A breakaway of 15 spent the majority of the stage out front, and when Leknessund launched first on the final climb, it looked to be the move of the stage , but Bettiol bided his time, waited until he saw the man in front go into the red, and launched at the very top.
