Gara Alpervitz is an American historian and political economist.

He served as a fellow at King's College Cambridge.

He was a founding fellow at the Harvard Institute of Politics, a founding fellow at the Institute

for Policy Studies.

Yes, scholar at the Brookings Institution, the Lionel R. Baumann Professor of Political

Economy at the University of Maryland.

He also served as legislative director in the U.S. House of Representatives in the U.S.

Senate and as a special assistant to the U.S. Department of State.

And he is a distinguished lecturer now with the American Historical Society and co-founded

the Democracy Collaborative.

And co-chairs its next system project, which is extraordinary stuff, involved in the Pentagon

papers, the anti-war movement, right up to today.
