Hello, thank you for joining me today for Give Him 15. I hope you enjoy our new set. I'm enjoying

sitting in the rock and chair reading some of these posts from the new devotional, which I think

you'll enjoy. I chose some of my favorite posts to share with you in this devotional. And I think they are timeless and you'll enjoy them.

But I'm also reading some of them right now because even though we've done them in the past,

they are very appropriate for us to use as we pray for our government during this time of transition.

We must persevere.

And so today I'm going to talk to you about passion.

Passion and the title of the post is People of Passion.

Romans 1211, the Passion Translation, appropriate.

Be enthusiastic to serve the Lord,

keeping your passion toward him boiling hot.

Radiate with the glow of the Holy Spirit and let him fill you with excitement as you serve

him. God loves wholeheartedness. Divided and lukewarm hearts on the other hand, nauseate him. Revelation 3.

He refuses to tolerate indifference.

Yahweh epitomizes passion and offers to share with us his passion at heart.

If we're going to turn America back to him, we must be people of passion. King David was a man of passion. When listening to

Goliath mocked the Lord, David quickly reached his threshold. Who is this guy to curse the

living God in the name of his false gods? David asked. Then he asked the poignant and loaded question,

is there not a cause? 1 Samuel 17, 29. Through this rhetorical question, David declared, he was declaring

the ramifications of this threat are bigger than just our nation.

Israel, they're more important than our land and even our lives.

God's reputation is at stake, David was saying.
