a.k.a. Paul Rubens. And we're, part two of learning about Pee-Herman, aka Paul Rubens.

And we're, of course, learning about the character and the man with author, comedian,

and podcaster extraordinaire, Jamie Loftus.

I'm so happy to be bringing you part two of this episode.

I loved this conversation. I feel so lucky to have been able to have it and to pass it on to you. And now here's the show. But we're getting ahead of ourselves because before that, before the TV show comes

Pewy's Big Adventure in 1985.

It's fascinating that it was a movie first and then TV.

ever made, he was really, really involved in every part of production. But he gets into this in the documentary, a source of frustration for him, is that it's

starring Pee-Herman, but all the work is being done under the name Paul Rubin's.

So it's confusing.

He feels like he feels like, and again, it's like one of his uh things of jealousy of uh this is also tim burton's

first movie that he ever directed uh when he was like 28 which tried not to think too hard about

it and the the two of them get connected via shelly deval which is incredible of course because

she was in his short film, Frank and Weenie.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah.

So Shelley and Paul are friends because I don't know how, but of course they are.
