Hello, hello everyone. Happy Sunday. Welcome back to the at Lexi

podcast. I'm your host, Lexi Lombard and it's first thing in the morning and I never thought

I'd be so joyful to say this but it is gloomy outside here in Los Angeles

California and I couldn't be more thrilled because I have been in vacation

mode. Those of you who live in a colder climate, those of you who live in New York, you know that when there's one night's day the entire

attitude of the entire city changes everyone's in a good mood people are holding

doors you are smiling so taking a New Yorker and putting her in

sunny California, every single day being nice, I know what you're supposed to do on a nice day. You're supposed to enjoy it.

You're supposed to spend as much time outside as possible when it's gorgeous outside.

So when you get seven of those in a row, you realize the to-do list is getting a little bit longer because you've been

filling your soul which is fabulous. I don't know how long you've been listening to

this podcast but if you've been listening since the new year my New Year's

resolution was to rest, to relax, and to heal,

and to be more present.

And my God, if that's not what I've been doing the past month here in California, I don't know what I've been doing.

Every single time I'm lying in bed, which the room that I have here is amazing.

There's a bay window. It's huge, you're sitting on it right now and I'm looking out

it onto all of these trees. They're all different kinds of trees and flowers blooming and just a ton of greenery and plants and I will

lie in bed in the middle of the day just staring out the window like a cat just looking at the outdoors and enjoying the window and it being

so incredibly healing and the next thing you know it's been like 30 minutes I'm

like girl you can't be doing this you can be doing this I'm learning okay also I want to give a brief disclaimer I called myself a New Yorker a minute ago I'm not a New Yorker. I've only lived there four, five years so no. I'm a

Virginian. I guess. I don't know that's where I'm from. But moving on. So last night
