We're in the fourth week of this series talking about the shoes of the gospel of peace.

And Pastor Jay would the first thing I thought of was your dad's quote about wearing flip flops.

Boy, the only thing you're doing flip flops is good your butt kicked.

Does he say butt though?

He does.

He doesn't say bad words.

Okay, all right.

He's great.

When I think about the armor of God specifically this one, you know, we live in Florida, so we don't get a lot of snow. Have you ever been in the snow with the wrong shoes, though? Yes. Like shoes that are not supposed to be. It's very problematic. Very sick. Right. right. Or a construction site with the wrong shoes or like running in shoes.

Dude, the other day, you know, I've got a Harley and I have Harley boots.

And you think they're just like for show, but they're very, very practical.

And I was going somewhere and I had on regular cowboy boots.

And I was like, I'm sure these are fine. I pull out of my neighborhood, and I get to like the first stop sign, stoplight, and put my foot down, and it was just like, slip. And I thought, dude, this could go real bad if I don't have, like, the grip and the base I need. And I immediately wheeled back around, went home.

I mean, I was like 200 yards from my house and put on the right shoes because bad things can happen with the wrong shoes.

Yeah.

You have any bad shoes experiences?

Yeah, golfing.
