One of the first dates I went on was in college with a girl named Nina.

I was so... it was intimidated by her. She was so beautiful and seemed so cool.

And I worked up the courage to approach her. I asked her out. It was like a huge step for me.

I haven't really done that since. A couple of minutes in, she mentioned my friend James.

Very casually, like it was part of some other question. A couple of seconds later, James's name came up again.

And ten seconds later, it came up again. And finally, I said, oh, what do you want me to ask him if he'd want to go out with you?

And she's paused and she goes, she got really serious and she goes, would you?

Oh my god. It said, oh, I realized she was serious and I was like, uh, yeah, she was, ah, that'd be great. I did not ask you.

It wasn't a date. It was, I mean, not from her end. And it's funny, when you think about perspective,

like I remember at the time just putting so much thought into it and it was going to be, and I over said I know.

But, you know, it all worked out for you. Did it? No, I'm just kidding. Still single, huh?
