On today's episode of The Eater

Excel, Greg and I are talking with Paul Lebrandt, who if you were an avid

follower of food media, say up until about three years ago, you were

probably reading his name all the

fricking time and then he just kind of disappeared

he had a restaurant called cortone which got two Michelin stars

he also had a restaurant in Brooklyn called the Elm. He was the

subject of a documentary called A Matter of Taste. And you dined at some of his

restaurants, right Helen? Yeah, I was a big big fan of his cooking and

when the Elm closed and he kind of removed himself

from the restaurant world I think I was not the only person who was a little

heartbroken so I'm super excited that we got the chance to sit down with him and talk about what he's been up to and why it is that he's kind of okay not having a restaurant right now.

Awesome, well I look forward to hearing what's going on with Mr. Paul Lebrant.
