Let me start with that, okay?

It's a response, meaning that the Red Sox weren't going to do it until they lost Breggman.

And so I just don't understand why they don't have the same level of urgency coming right out of the gate in the offseason that they have right now. So, right, and it's obvious because, I mean, you know

the answer to this. Right. That their priority is no longer spending and as a result winning at a high

level. Exactly. So they don't come out, they didn't want to do this. They got to a point in the offseason where they got aggravated that they couldn't do anything else or the fans were getting on them or season tickets go on sale tomorrow, like you said, Jimmy, or whatever.

It's some response to what had gone on to this point.

Jimmy used the word reaction earlier or reactionary, and I would say that that really

crystallizes it. They are always reacting to events rather than pro-acting. So that bugs me.

Now look, let me just split this up. I like the pitcher. He's pretty good. He's good.

He's a legit number two starter. When he's on, yeah. Yeah. I mean, and a guy's healthy. Yeah. So that's really the issue. You know, he's had, he's on yeah yeah i mean and a guy's healthy yeah so that's really the

issue uh you know he's had he's out of shape i mean if you look at him he's out of shape but uh but when

he's out there he's good his postseason numbers are good and i like the guys who are pitchers not

throwers and this guy's a pitcher so just watching some of the video up here he's got a good

change up he doesn't walk many guys you know he, he's not an 11-12 strikeout guy per game. He's going to get guys out by pitching, which I like. I like that. I'm all for that. The other thing that is sort of registering with me more and more as we go forward here is that let's see what Framber Valdez signs for

because I'm willing to bet they just went for the second of the two guys right and not only that

but among the good pitchers the guy who's going to be cheapest because of the injury issue or you

know his his fitness issue call whatever you want so dylan c's got 210 million he's been the first guy to sign they weren't going anywhere near that now valdez seems to be a little bit of a pain in the ass you know you remember he threw the pitch that hit his catcher uh this year like crossed him up on purpose and drilled him in the chest protector Really, like, what an a-hole. Yeah. So, like, let's see what Valdez ends up with, but my guess is it's going to be more. This deal is not one that makes you go, oh, my God, they gave them that.
