Legendary stories in the off-air show start with a light.

Here's just over 50 years of Miller time, the passing of Bob Weir, founding member of the Grateful Dead.

Happened over the weekend, died of cancer at 78.

I did know he was sick.

But you don't know.

Like, you just hear these rumors,

like, you got friends with friends who are close to the band, and you think it's reliable

sources. And he certainly had faded, I think, badly on stage the last year. And I know,

a lot of you say he's been fading for 30 years. I get it.

But for those of us who follow it and go to shows and all of that, the last year was a pretty, I think, steep decline.

And so he didn't look right.

He didn't sound right.

There were rumors.

And then we had heard, I had heard that he had cancer, was battling cancer.

So it wasn't a total surprise that he passed.

But I got to tell you, it hit me.

It hit me, Jake.

Important guy for me, important band for me.

I know this sounds silly, but spent a lot of time with that band.

Some of the best times I've ever had were with that band.
