The promise of AI in the 1950s was simply “intelligent machines”, but claims of actual intelligence on the scale of humans made in God’s image, well, is that even in the picture? What about sentience, a soul, an ability to sin? Those who bring it to life and want to dip their toes into the Singularity (living forever as a machine) have great dreams but is any of that even possible? Don’t discount deep deception on the order of Bible prophecy to be a huge part of what the world experiences, even believes, when the beast system rolls out. I truly don’t think we have any idea what this will become beyond any blueprints we are shown. AI is found in nearly every system on earth now, from science to philosophy to art.
