This year, there was like a sort of a heated contest between you. We didn't know which way we'd go. It was no true, like, clear-cut winner. You came out with the win. I love that for you.

It was you. There was T.J. Hatz and, Mal Garrett's, of course. But Zach Bond as well, there's guys this year that stood out and stand out. But you, I mean, there was games that you held receivers less than 10 yards, multiple of them games. You know, you were something special this year. So congratulations. Appreciate that, man. Absolutely. How's it feel to win your first defense player of the year? Shoot, man. I mean, honestly feels surreal. You know, this is something I had written down on my goal sheet. I wanted to capture a defense player a year throughout my career. I wasn't expecting it so early, but, you know, this is something I had written down on my goal sheet. I wanted to capture a defense

and it came into fruition. So I'm honestly, it's a huge honor, such a prestigious award,

the highest rank you could get as a defensive player. So it was great, man, you know, just

receiving that award, seeing my family in the stands as well, too, out here. So it was great, man. You know, just receiving that award, seeing my family in the

Right. Look, I'm not going to lie to you. I have, I've seen a lot of success from Alabama products,

wide receivers, running backs, you know, quarterbacks, for sure linebackers, defensive linemen.

But I've always made fun of them.

I was like, you're, you, you, you, you, you, you, corners can never backpedal. And now we have past our time. I mean, just think about it. You got to change the little dynamic a little bit. Man, I see, I see.

You know, I'm not going to name them because it's going to hurt when I call them out.

But, like, we don't have to worry about that no more.

Our team picked up Kool-A McKinstery who's starting to come on. I mean, as a product of Alabama, I mean, you know, how excited are you just for your college alone? I mean, you've got multiple Heisman trophy winners. One of them still playing in the league right now. And then, you know, how much does that school pride carry over in the locker room?

It carries over a ton.
