I am here with Matt Dare, from Chiefs.Digest.com, our man on the beat and the guy that does have access, although no one was at practice today, let's just make sure we put that out there. We are going to get straight to the news of the day, what to expect the rest of the week for not just Patrick Mahomes, but the rest of this team. Before we get there, we'll talk about the new faces that have come and gone and what's going on to get this

part of the process started. But we start, which was relatively newsbreaking this afternoon,

Matt, I think for many different reasons. But we did find out. The Patrick Mahomes did

participate. He had a helmet and a jersey on today. And he was actually out there. I did not

anticipate that, even though I got a little

tip from somebody I know that was just with him on Friday at a media shoot who said he was

looking pretty spry and running around and doing things that they didn't expect either.

I didn't expect this, did you? And it seemed a little bit more likely since the rookie mini camp that Mahomes was going to try and do a few things.

And, you know, that's where the wrinkle gets into it.

Because, you know, Andy Reid during the rookie minicamp and told me when I asked, you know, Herbie and I kind of double teamed

asking about what was the expectation for Patrick during OTAs? And, you know, he said they wanted

to keep their options open. And I clarified that that was, you know, regarding the physically

unable to perform list for training camp. And he said, yes. Now, you know, if Mahomes takes part in any part of o'ta's that makes

him ineligible for the physically unable to perform list beginning training camp i mean there's always

the slight possibility that the chiefs can say that he fails the physical at the beginning of training camp.

And that puts it in a little bit of a gray area.
