going on and we're going to get into some film review. The story of the day

today is that the Kansas City Chiefs have gotten through,

appearingly so, the downtime without Patrick Mahomes with a two in one record.

And we talked about this slightly yesterday.

But the big thing is that Patrick Mahomes when you look at him

returning to practice returning to the field eventually we're thinking it's going to be this week but we haven't

had that confirmed yet he is walking into a better team than he left and that

is across the board. We have seen Matt Moore play well, but he's gotten help from all of

the past catchers. Guys returning from injury, gotten help from the running backs,

they've been kind of shifting around who's going to do it, and they've gotten a ton of improvement

from that defense.

The defense in particular deserves a lot of credit because they were much maligned and it was something that before the injury Pat Mahomes was having to make up for.

It was his arm and his back that this team was riding and the defense was playing despite what was going on an offense.

Winning games closely, closer than they should and something that had to be corrected. The benefit of having

to press through and actually turn your team around because you don't have a superstar is something that builds

character that builds teamwork and is building this team into a more

formidable foe for the rest of the AFC than they could have done Ed Pat not gotten hurt.

No, no one wants to see your starting quarterback and an elite talent like Patrick Mahomes get hurt.
