Hello! be its girls can't. Hello everyone and welcome to the girls camp

podcast. I'm your host Haley Rawl and if you are navigating a faith

rails then you are in the right place. I was really surprised by the response to this week's submission box.

We are talking about patriarchal blessings and over 700 people wrote in their stories and their experiences with getting a

patriarchal blessing. I don't know why that surprised me so much. I guess my

patriarchal blessing I had just never really reflected on that much, but in preparation for this episode,

I have reflected quite a lot and have lots of thoughts and feelings we have so much to unpack. So what we are going to do

is I'm going to give a little patriarchal blessing 101 for those of you who have

no idea what I'm talking about and for those of you who do know what I'm talking about you still may learn a thing or two because I learned a thing or two because I learned

a thing or two as I was researching and preparing for this episode and then I'm going to tell you the story of my patriarchal

blessing. My blessing changed my life in a really huge way so I'm going to talk

about that and then of course we will dive into the submissions, your stories of getting your blessings, what they said, what they meant to you, and surprise, surprise. Some crazy things have been said through these patriarchal blessings.
