But I think the issue with Lindy West is like she really made sense as like an alt weekly, like a Pacific Northwest sort of alt niche figure.

You know what I mean?

But like had her audience and found a slightly greater audience and wrote a book of, you know, and wrote a, like, it all, like, made sense in this vacuum.

But it's like you can't suddenly have people who don't know any of the context weighing in on her, like, polyamorous marriage. And then people are desperate to, like, make her into, like, an emblem of, you know, millennial feminism. Or it's just like, she's one of many voices. She never said she was perfect. Yeah. I mean, it certainly seems like this book is a little, I don't know, misguided in some ways, but like,

I just don't think that's a reason for her to be, like, getting torn down in this way.

We need a Ryan Murphy feud about Lindy West and Dan Savage.

I mean, say that.

We actually do. I, I'm ready for him to, like, leave sort of 50s Hollywood behind. And like, we need like

something about 2003. Completely. I also, whatever, I, we talk, I find that people are so hungry

to be like, to talk about like the cringe elements of peak woke or whatever.

And it's like, okay, yes, it was cringe when everyone was reading white fragility.

Like, I will grant you that.

But like, let's not throw the baby out with the bath water.

Like, I think it ultimately was good that, like, Lindy West talked about being fat in a way that was not stigmatizing.

That is an objectively good thing.

Yeah.

Yeah.

No, everyone's being completely insane per usual.

Yeah.

But again, I have no, it's like, I'm not going to read her book, obviously.

But I just am like, I'm like, you guys don't need to yell at her.
