Do not confuse this with treatment or mental health advice or direction.

Nothing on this podcast is made to supplement or supersede the relationship and direction of your mental health caretakers.

Although David Koslovsky is a licensed marriage and family therapist, he is not functioning as a certified mental health professional in this environment.

0:21.2

And same applies to any professional who may appear on the Light the Fight podcast.

0:28.1

Hey everybody, welcome to another episode of Light the Fight patron edition.

0:33.0

Now, in this Patreon edition, I probably will post this on the regular Light the Fight feed as well,

0:38.2

just to give you patrons a little heads up if you see it come up on the normal podcast feed.

0:43.5

And the reason is because I got basically the same question from a Patreon that I also got

0:48.7

from someone on Instagram because we posted a little question like Ask David some questions thing.

0:53.7

hey, my kids, you know, been lazy during the winter

1:11.2

time, doesn't really want to go to school after the Christmas break. How do I'm going to go to

1:15.4

school? The other one was like, how do I get my kid to be motivated to go to school? So I'm

1:19.7

1:23.9

general questions, but the general questions, I have to, like, make a lot of assumptions, or I just have to speak really general. In this particular question, I'm going to

1:32.2

speak pretty general. Motivation is something that is difficult to have, and it leaves us pretty

1:38.5

quickly. I heard an example one time, motivation is like kindling for a fire. you need the kindling right just got to get some

1:45.9

sticks together put them up in a little tp maybe put like a piece of paper or something like that in

1:50.4

there not saying that that's best for the environment but i'm saying these are some ways to get some

1:55.0

kindling going for a fire once you get the kindling going everybody knows you got to have some sticks and then some other sticks and then once you get the kindling going, everybody knows you got to have some sticks and then some other sticks.
