but we'll start by talking about the offseason the Jets have had and how ownership may impact it going forward.

That's our first question.

It comes from Peter, who writes,

John, if Dante Moore had made himself eligible for the draft,

do you have any doubts that the organization would have made them their first pick, probably at Woody's insistence?

Which leads to the main question.

Are the Jets receiving too much credit for having the self-discipline to follow the wisest path?

My own opinion is that the Jets followed the best path because there was no other choice.

Well, Peter, one thing I've learned from following the Jets through the years is that when the

Jets do the right thing, it's typically because they don't have another choice.

So I hear you.

And I certainly understand the trepidation about Woody Johnson getting involved.

Where I fall on this, though, is I can't judge the Jets based on some hypothetical situation at what may have happened then.

The first question was, do I have doubts that the Jets would have picked Dante Moore?

I don't think it was a 100% slam dunk
