Well, Jets fans, there's nobody who knows more about David Bailey than my colleague, Chris

Level, the co-host of Locked-on Texas Tech here on the Locked-on podcast network. The Jets drafted

Bailey second overall in the NFL draft. Chris is here to tell us about his time at Texas Tech and what he brings to the New York Jets.

So Chris, I guess I'll begin by just asking for basic recap of Bailey's one year in Lubbock.

Yeah, and technically it wasn't even a full year.

So how he ended up in, you know, obviously he was at Stanford and Andrew Luck, I'm sure

your fan base will know that name.

He was hired as the general manager at Stanford.

And one of the first things he did was he kind of dug into their football program and

made a change with the head coach.

And so the way the rules were in college at the time, if a head coach is removed,

then every player is available to go to the portal.

And so this was in February, March, if memory serves a year ago in 2025.

And very quickly, Texas Tech decided that they were,
