Hey, everybody, welcome back to the Giants Insider podcast.

It's the start of another week, another week without baseball.

So we'll have two more podcasts for you.

Two fun ones scheduled starting today with Pat Burrell.

You remember him as a player.

You remember him as a member of a championship team here.

You probably know him as a TV analyst. He did some work with me and

Kelly Johnson and the rest of our analysts. You probably knew that he scouted for the Giants at one

point, but now he is going to be their hitting coach in San Jose, which is pretty cool because he

went to Bellarmine. He was a star down there in high school and still lives in the area and has

huge ties to the area. So it's really not far from where he grew up and a cool story.

And I just think having talked to Pat before shows and before games, he has a ton to offer to these guys.

So I think it's a really cool marriage and good to see some older players too who are sticking around and trying

to help the next generation and ex players who are sticking around so I hope you guys enjoy this

conversation we got into the prospects a little bit and guys he has worked with the ready and also

just why he's doing this and what he thinks of of the whole process two things I wanted to plug before we get to the podcast.
