And today's case, it is a lot. And we are going to cover or uncover everything we need to know.

So as we get older, tasks that used to seem so simple begin requiring more effort, especially

for our elderly population, who eventually have no choice but to rely on others for help

doing all sorts of things they used to be able to do on their own.

And as a society, when we have the cable guy over to fix the TV or when we hire a plumber or handyman

to help, there is a level of trust that we give these strangers we hire, these strangers who

must enter our homes, our most personal and most vulnerable spaces. Unfortunately, the case that we

are going to discuss today involves someone violating that

trust in the most horrific way possible. The handyman that 82-year-old Marsha Norman hired

seemed to be the pinnacle of trustworthy. I mean, he was not only former military and a married family man, but he was also

a church pastor. On paper, his resume seemed like someone an 82-year-old female could safely ask for help.

However, looking to this guy's past led me down one of the most disturbing rabbit holes you can only imagine. Marcia

unknowingly and innocently invited a monster into her home, masked as someone just willing to help

an older woman who had no choice but to trust others to help her with her daily tasks.
