Summary

This teaching will look into some of the differences regarding how life and death are viewed and valued from a worldly and biblical perspective, while examining the Scriptures as to the purpose of life and how this understanding shapes our walk and attitude towards death, as well as how we as Christians can live in victory each day based on the promises of the true and living God though we are all appointed to die. Taught by Assistant Pastor Mac at Calvary Chapel Kaneohe Hawaii.

Well, good morning, and on behalf of Pastor J.D. Farag, we welcome you here to our live stream service,

0:05.4

Calvary Chapel, Kani'oi. On Sundays, we have two services. The first service is dedicated to the

0:10.9

prophecy update, and the second service is dedicated to the sermon. But this motto will be interrupted

0:16.9

today, as well as next Sunday, until the return of the Pastor J.D. We need to pray for

0:23.0

him though. He's just taking some time to really seek the Lord, and we all need time to do that.

0:29.1

And we have to get away and take that sabbatical, if you will, and really just focus on the Lord.

0:34.8

So let's pray for our pastor, as often as the Lord leads,

0:39.6

and wait for him to return with those spiritual gifts,

0:43.2

more information and wisdom that the Lord will indeed provide to him.

0:48.3

So in his absence, we will conduct two separate teachings this morning. And the first teaching, we're only

0:57.1

going to look at half a verse, just half of it. It's the first part of verse 27, captured in the

1:07.2

book of Hebrews chapter 9. And I would still ask if you're able please stand

1:12.6

so we can read this half a verse, very impactful part of scripture. I think you will agree,

1:20.6

followed by a word of prayer.

1:31.0

The Word of God reads, And as it is appointed for men to die once.

1:38.9

So why don't we pray and ask for the Lord's blessing on the teaching this morning. Please join with me.

1:45.0

Loving Heavenly Father, we come to you, humbly come, to your throne of grace, and ask that you would bless this occasion.

1:58.0

We thank you for this time that you have given us that we freely give back

2:02.6

so that we can hear your words of truth. We live in times that are so uncertain, but you are

2:11.6

certain. And because of that, Lord, we can live on, look into you, knowing you have all the answers.

2:21.7

We could be at peace with that what you're going to tell us, even though this topic is difficult.

2:28.2

So Lord, provide me with the grace, anoint this entire body.
