0:13.4	This has been a momentous week in the impeachment trauma for two reasons.
0:19.6	Bombshell testimony tonight for the first time of first-hand witness to the explosive
0:24.6	conversation that ignited the impeachment inquiry.
0:27.1	Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vinman is the top Ukraine expert on the National
0:31.1	Security Council.
0:32.1	A purple heart recipient wounded in Iraq corroborating others who've testified this was a quid pro quo bribery plot.
0:39.0	And that was one of them, testimony on Tuesday from someone who almost no one had heard of before this week,
0:45.0	Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman.
0:48.0	Vindman was one of four witnesses who appeared before Congress this week,
0:52.0	and there was also a no show and that no show
0:54.1	Democrats say is evidence of obstruction. If this witness had something to say
0:59.7	that would be helpful to the White House they would want him to come and testify. They plainly don't.
1:06.3	No question for Democrats seeking to make a case for the impeachment of President Trump,
1:10.8	this has been a big week. But, as we keep saying, impeachment is not a legal proceeding.
1:16.2	It is a political one.
1:17.8	Donald Trump's fate rests not with an impartial jury of his peers,
1:21.7	but with a highly partial, highly partisan jury of elected
1:25.0	Democrats and Republicans and on that front the political front this has also
1:29.4	been a big week. Against the backdrop of all this accumulating testimony, a vote in the House, a resolution
1:36.4	to affirm the existence of an impeachment inquiry and to set guidelines for how it will operate.
1:41.4	And the final vote fell almost completely along party lines.
