Welcome to the Bechtel cast party girls. My name is Jamie Loftus. My name is Caitlin Durante. This is our show where we examine movies through an intersectional feminist lens using the Bechtel test simply as a jumping off point.

The Bechtel test is a media metric created by queer cartoonist Alison Bechdel, friend of the cast.

Dikes to Watch Out for, has since been adapted to a more mainstream, widely applicable

media metric. The version we use of the Bechtel Test requires that two characters of a marginalized

gender with names speak to each other about something other than a man for more than two

lines of meaningful dialogue.
