backed Snitch, a gritty new film starring Dwayne the Rock Johnson.

Plus, we talked to the former stuntman who wrote and directed the film.

You can imagine Hollywood. Everything is really driven by making money.

What's with him?

I'm joined by my fellow banterer, John Horn, the Los Angeles Times. Hello, John.

Hello, Kim. So, John, it's been about a week since the Oscars, but, you know, the timing

didn't work out for us to banter it before. So let's just mop up a little quick. I'll just say

very quickly, the ratings were up, especially in the coveted 18 to 49-year-old demographic, big problem that the Academy may have solved with Seth McFarland's

controversial hosting tour. I'm sure the Academy was happy and ABC was happy, but not everybody

was happy because of a snub that was very striking to certain members of the business here

in Los Angeles and elsewhere. It's basically a three-pronged snub, all tied to Rhythm and Hughes that did the visual effects

and won the Oscar for Life of Pie.
