John Chapter 1,

The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee,

finding Philip he said to him, follow me.

Philip like Andrew and Peter was from the town of Bizaida.

Philip found Nathaniel and told him,

we have found the one Moses wrote about in the law

and about whom the prophet

Eso wrote Jesus of Nazareth the son of Joseph. Nazareth can anything good

come from there? Nathaniel asks this is the word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.

Nancy Abernathy is a professor teaching first-year med students and one

particular semester her husband just in his 50s tragically and very

suddenly died of a heart attack, cross-country skiing just outside of their home.

And through the grief, she managed to make it through that semester, continuing on her teaching.

And then as it drew to a close, she shared

one day with her class near the end of the semester

that she was actually really dreading the return of fall

the next year and students coming back from summer break

because Dr Abernathy begins every semester the same way. She gets a new group of students and she works her way through each and every one of those students sharing a family photo so that they get to know one

another over the course of the unfolding year and she always goes

first and she feared that she wasn't going to be able to share a photo of her now very suddenly

late husband without weeping in front of a group of who are at that point relative strangers.
