so much of the joy of the Lord, the love for the brethren. You know, people ask me a lot of times,

you know, why don't we see the miracles that, you know, occurred like in the book of Acts?

Why don't we see that more frequently?

And let me give you a little history lesson.

So as the gospel is moving in to areas where it's never been, even today, we do see more of the miraculous.

Now, we all know about the charlatans who go out and do all these things, prosperity preachers,

and say people get healed and they don't.

But God does do miracles and God does heal people, especially on the cutting edge of missions.

You see many signs, confirmations of the power of the gospel.

But here's something I want you to see.

In the Roman Empire,

where we know where the first century,

third century, fourth century,

there was a lot of persecution.

Christians suffered in Asia Minor and throughout the entire empire.

And there were Roman historians, Tacitus and others, that wrote about Christianity.

Now, Christianity was hated.

And it's really strange. One thing that kept coming up as I studied secular historians
