Chapter 4, Mindset is a Mood, how to control your state.

We've covered a lot of ground.

This isn't a 50-hour novel, but this is deep stuff

and you have to work on all the time.

We've talked about self-talk, we've talked about frame, we've talked about

mindfulness, now we're talking about mood and you're going to see how all of these earlier concepts

tie into your mood. Mood is also kind of called state. This is another

example of things that we've heard that don't mean anything. It's all about

your state of mind. What does that mean? It's all about your frame of mind.

What does that mean?

Mindset is everything.

What does that mean?

We're going to talk about what it means.

Your state is just your mood.

How do you feel?

Do you feel optimistic? Do you feel

enthusiastic? Do you feel excited? Do you feel down on your luck? Do you feel

sad? That is all it is. And we know now that you can control everything. You can control your mood and you can

control your spate by what? Controlling yourself talk, by framing painful experiences as an opportunity for growth, by being more mindful.

So here's a way to control your mood.

That's a little bit, I don't know, I don't want to call Woo-Woo or New Age, but it's definitely not something you used to.

So the first thing you have to do is when you're in a mood, be mindful of that.
