Back in our very first episode on this story, we told you about the story of Amanda.

Time makes things better, but time will never heal everything.

So I've gotten to the point where I can live with what's happened to me. You might remember she was headed out for a Friday happy hour when Devin

Arthur's walked into her Tampa apartment complex as leasing office and changed everything.

Even today when I talk about, oh, did you guys hear about that, you know, white supremacist

double homicide in Tampa Poms. And they're like,

oh, I remember that from a couple years ago. So it's still like big in certain circles. You're

not going to outrun that. Amanda's life has largely returned to normal. But Amanda and her

apartment complex at the time represent the kind of everyday average American people and communities

that reckon with the worlds of extremists like Brandon Russell, Devin Arthur's, and all the other voices in the far-right extremist white supremacy universe.

As we said in the beginning, these aren't people and this isn't thinking that exists out on the fringes, or in some remote cabin in the woods.
