This is Colossians 3 verses 1 through 11. Since then, you have been raised with Christ,

set your hearts on things above where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set

your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died and your life has now

hidden with Christ and God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you will also

appear with Him in glory. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature,

sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry. Because of

these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways in the life you once lived,

but now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these, anger, rage, malice,

slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other since you have taken

off your old self with its practices, and have put on the new self, which is being renewed

in knowledge in the image of its creator. Here, there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised,

barbarian, sithian, slave, or free, but Christ is all and is in awe.

This is the Word of the Lord. This is the Word of the Lord. Go ahead and have a seat.

Well, this morning, I want to let you in on a conversation I will never forget. Between

my wife and I, 15 years ago, we were living in Spain, three little kids. The kids are in

bed. I'm sitting in the chair in our living room, reading, Jenny's on the sofa on our laptop,

and she says, well, I'm looking into flight home. This isn't working for our family, so

the kids and I are going to go. We can live with my parents, and you can come join us when

you're ready. Now, you know in your life, there's a few pivotal conversations that you look

back at and go from this point forward. My life was one way and then turned a different

way. I wish I could say this was one of those conversations, but the reality was it took
