Summary

The Westies, a gang long known to law enforcement officials, if not to the public, as one of the most savage organizations in the long history of New York gangs. Led by Jimmy Coonan and Mickey Featherstone, The Westies' savagery permitted them to murder with virtual impunity - no one would testify against them. New York law enforcement officials hold the Westies responsible for more than 30 murders during the 1970's and 80's.
