Hey, everybody. Welcome to Yoga Land. I am Jason Crandall, yet again, filling in for Andrea Ferretti.

0:05.3

I have commandeered the podcast for another week, actually a couple weeks to come.

0:11.5

And what I'm about to play for you is episode one of the four-part mini documentary that I've just created called The Making of a Yoga Teacher, where I interview three students,

0:23.2

Aaron, Laurel, and Raquel about their experience of why they decided to do a teacher training

0:29.0

program, why they chose this teacher training program, and what the process has been like for

0:35.8

them. This is something everyone I have wanted to do for so long.

0:40.9

And the reality is when you are teaching a teacher training program,

0:45.5

you're so involved in so many different aspects of the training.

0:50.6

But I always wanted to provide an avenue where we could actually experience a little bit more

0:58.2

from the student's eyes.

1:00.3

And so I asked these three students to be part of this project and to just share their story.

1:07.3

I have wanted to also provide this for you because I know all of us that have done teacher training programs,

1:16.7

how impactful it is, how transformative it is.

1:20.8

And yet for all of us, we just have our memory to recall it.

1:24.6

And I decided that I wanted to create a project where I recorded it,

1:29.7

where we actually documented the process for students so that they could have it in perpetuity,

1:35.9

but also so that we could use it as a reminder of our own and a reminder of the human experience

1:42.4

of saying yes to something that's really valuable to us

1:46.4

and going through all of the whirlwind and the nuances and the humanness that come up

1:53.4

when we do a teacher training program.

1:55.9

So I think that you're going to really enjoy this episode.
