Is it time to bring Max Cross back onto the show? Who's Max Cross? He's the MVP tracker. Oh, yeah, that's right. Yeah, I remember him now.

Yeah. He's the guy who figured out that we don't have to wait for the announcements. We can

actually go through all the tape, all the film, break it down into the lab, and he tracked all

of the award votes that were out there on the internet. Far and wide. Fine-tooth comb for

most improved, six man of the year, coach of the year, defensive player of the year, and he's

gotten them all right. And I'm a little confused by this. Why haven't we had the MVP trophy yet?

So I did radio with Zach last week and he brought this to my attention. He said,

this is the latest MVP announcement we've had since 1998, which is a long ass time. Back in the

90s, I remember they used to give out the MVP trophy routinely during the conference finals. Matter

of fact, one of the most famous stories in NBA history is 1995,

Spurs versus Rockets, Western Conference Finals for game one. David Robinson gets the MVP trophy.
