Very, very stressful stage.

One of the most stressful stages.

Typically each year is the stage.

The clue is in the name from Paris.

Because unless, in case you didn't know, Paris is quite a densely populated area,

including the outskirts, which means there is significant road furniture,

which, whilst it may make the pedestrian experience more pleasant than the strode of the US and Australia, it means

for a peloton of 180 nervous riders, it's a stressful stage with a huge amount of road

dividers, narrow roads.

But what did we have in the finale Benji and how did you look at this collection of hills that has become typical of this opening stage?

A couple of hills is how I describe it.

I think it's two times the same climb, which is the two last climbs of the day,

which is about 1.1 kilometers at 8.3%.

So that's a parkour where if you start thinking, okay, what was a stage last year that was similar in terms of terrain? Stage one of the Dolphine is pretty similar. We saw pretty crazy action there, which was Jonas, Tade, Remko, maybe was Van der Poole there as well or am I? Probably not. He was not at the Dolphphin. Why would Von der Pied at the Dauphinet? But I imagine someone else. Yeah, he was. Okay, you're right. See? My memory was right. In the final 500 meters, he pulled and they finessed him. My memory was right after all. But anyway, that is not necessarily what I expected from this parkour,

and that's partially because of the start list. Like, you mentioned it already, G.C. wise,

we've got Jonas Wingergov versus a uso, but when it comes to the sprinting field, there is no

sprinting field. Like Biniams here, Zangla's here, we've got a couple of versatile sprinters here to the point that I think the majority of sprinters on the start list are so versatile that they can get over this climb if it's not Yonaz Wingo attacking and why bring Axel Zangler to this race if you're going to try and attack on this climb with Yonaz Wingergo.

So that was my fault process going into the stage where I just expected it to be a versatile sprint at the end of the day. It's too far. It's just too, it's not a straight descent. So you've got two Ks of flat on top. So if you're a 60 kilo GC rider attacking, where are you going to go? It's, yeah, it's just too far, I think.
