podcast, Diverse Thinking, Different Learning. It's a good one. So Karen is interviewing me on my experience

as a child with ADHD, what it was like to finally get that diagnosis, how it impacted my life,

my mental health, socially, just my day-to-day living. And we also talk about

Many parents see themselves in their children.

There was a man whose daughter was diagnosed with ADHD who reached out for his own evaluation

because he realized that he had similar issues

as his child. He would leave the remote in the refrigerator, would often forget his keys,

was chronically late for appointments, would leave the stove on, and always appeared frazzled.

He, like many parents and adults with ADHD, spend his whole life

feeling like something was wrong with him. And he had a low opinion of himself. And he did, in fact,

have an undiagnosed ADHD that was diagnosed in adulthood. Today, I thought it would be

important to discuss what it's like parenting when you yourself have ADHD,

and what strategies are helpful for navigating the parent and life journey.
