thanks very much for joining us. Thanks for having me, Brian. So the idea that medical professionals

should not test mothers or infants for drugs, even if they have reason to

believe that the child has been exposed is gaining ground. Many states do not mandate drug testing

of parents and newborns, but testing enables medical professionals to identify babies who might be at risk of maltreatment.

And I should say that this is not testing mothers or infants for drugs because of racial

consideration. So I wonder how big a phenomenon is this? And it just seems crazy to me that

you're going to be putting children at risk because of
