You know, whenever I start a new series of messages, I talked with my ministry partners here at the Church of the Apostles at our Wednesday meeting and talked with them about what I'm going to do, and I'm amazed at how much I learned from those guys.

So when I told them a few weeks ago that I'm going to do a series on parenting, I was amazed of how much I learned from them.

For example, I learned that two of the most popular television shows have to do with parenting.

One is called 99-1-1 and the other one called the Supernanny.

Have you seen that?

Well, I started watching that.

I wanted to see what they're talking about so I can get some help here for my message.

And I was amazed.

Well, anyway, I'll get to that in a minute.

But at least what indicated to me is that

most parents are really desperate in their desire to do the right thing by their children,

and they need help.

But in this series of messages, which we collectively called it parenting 911, is more relevant to parents

as well as grandparents, as well as Sunday school teachers, as well as babysitters and uncles

and aunts, and it's really relevant to everybody who's here today.

Because it has to do with the next generation.

It has to do with the next generation of our future in

this nation. Because this popularity of these shows tells me that most parents really want to do
