Summary

In this 3-part series, Dr. Michael Youssef puts Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Scientology to the test—detailing each of their histories and belief systems and encouraging believers to discern the difference between these false religions and the infallible Word of God. In order to be a discerning person, you must know the Word of God, believe the Word of God as the absolute Truth, and test everything and measure everything by that Word—because if you don't know, believe, and test, you could fall prey to some of these false teachings that are deceiving the world today.

0:18.3	Not long ago, I was talking to a Christian businessman who said to me, they said, well,
0:24.0	Mormons are Christians, aren't they? And I said, well, how did you come to this conclusion
0:28.8	when they themselves believe that all the denominators are false? And only they have a corner
0:36.9	on the truth. How can you make that statement? He said, well, you know, they are false, and only they have a corner on the truth. How can you make that statement?
0:40.1	He said, well, you know, there are very highly ethical people, they're very moral, they
0:45.3	family-oriented, and they take good care of each other. Well, I said, those are very admirable
0:51.3	qualities, and we all wish to emulate, but that would not qualify
0:56.4	a person for being a Christian. Some Christians really think that the Mormons are just another
1:04.2	Christian denomination. And so I decided to get out of my comfort zone, and my comfort zone is to preach expository
1:13.4	preaching from the Word of God.
1:15.0	But one thing I want to make very clear at the beginning, I know some still going to
1:19.2	misunderstand me, no matter what I say, but that's okay.
1:21.8	As long as I go on record and saying that I have nothing against the followers of any of these cults. I have nothing
1:30.1	against them at all. In fact, I pray that as you finish with this message, just learn to discern
1:38.7	that you will develop greater love for the people who are belonged to these cults, not less love.
1:47.8	Furthermore, knowing the teaching and the history of Mormonism should make you love people
1:55.1	more, not less. Knowing the truth should cause you to love more, not less.
2:01.8	But remember this.
