Good afternoon, everyone. Dr. Niagara again, our next episode of Psychology Unplugged.

As always, another fun week of speaking with so many of you guys.

I do my best to respond to all the text messages, emails, phone calls.

It's really been eye-opening for me.

Just be able to talk to people on a global perspective and get different

perceptions of how mental health is perceived in different parts of the globe. And I appreciate

all the topics and suggestions for future episodes. So Julie is here today. And, you know,

she kind of ebbs and flows and

pops in if something piques her interest. But somebody had emailed me from Auckland, New Zealand,

who is studying psychology, and they're working on their thesis related, and wanted me to do an

episode.

And several people have kind of reached out as I've done a lot of episodes on the personality disorders, which people find to be,

me in particular find to be incredibly fascinating.

But the impact of a parental figure who is struggling with a mental health

condition and the impact that that could potentially have on a child. So as we're born into the

world, we are like sponges.

We just absorb what other people who are responsible for our care are doing,

how they're acting, whether that's in an adaptive way, whether that's in a maladaptive way,

could be substance abuse, could be domestic violence in the home, could be illegal activity,

seen and heard pretty much all the different stories.
