Good afternoon, everyone. It's Dr. Nigro again with our next episode of Psychology Unplugged.

I know borderline personality disorder, those episodes seem to be the most, the ones I get,

the most contact about, the most questions,

and it's definitely an extremely prevalent disorder.

And a lot of people have recently asked that I do an episode on antisocial personality disorder,

sometimes called psychopathy, sociopathy, or dissocial personality disorder.

Now, in the diagnostic manual, we have the different clusters, cluster A, cluster B, cluster C, and anti-social falls in the cluster B group

and I've kind of lump this in and did a little lecture series long a while ago kind of call

like the weirs the wilds the w. And Cluster B are the wilds.

And that's your histrionic, your narcissistic, borderline, and antisocial.

And so these are the personalities that have a high degree of cognitive and emotional dysregulation. So I think

people sometimes when they hear antisocial, they think Ted Bundy or Charles Manson. And I think

we have this fascination in at least Western society about watching these documentaries on Netflix and Hulu.

We watched this one, the making of Anna, a few others that we watched recently, I think, on Netflix that I think depict variations of antisocial

personality. So if you just take the title in and of itself, antisocial, that's essentially

what it is. And deceit and manipulation are really the cornerstones and as well as complete disregard for the integrity of societal values and norms.
