The Bachelor and Paradise is here. We're back, baby. Season 8 of the franchise's most fun spin-off is premiering just in time for fall. I mean, what could be more autumnal than dating in bikinis? Just screams.

This year, I honestly think Paradise is counter-programming to spooky season and I'm kind of okay with it. I'm not ready for summer to be over for once in my life, so I'm leaning in. Except that in reality, it's actually here.

The terror is more real.

Hello. Thank you so much for having me back. I'm like overjoyed to talk about what I think is officially my favorite bachelor property.

The whole constellation of bachelor stars. This is the best one. Claire was pointing out like this is why we put in the work. This is what we built into.

We've been studying. We've been learning all the new guys and girls for this.

We've all been cross-training for the last year. Exactly. Absolutely. We're finally ready for our marathon.

This is our version of how you have to watch all the Marvel movies and TV shows. One of the big one with all 15 of them and it comes out. You know what's been happening with them.

Yeah, that's right. I don't watch Marvel. That's my impression of what happens. The Avengers.

Yes, that's what it's just like the Avengers. You're like, no, the really big one with all the people.

You see the poster and you're like, oh, so the movie stars have all been working. They're just not in anything I'm watching.

The movie stars aren't dead. They just only exist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That's right.

So let's talk about the Avengers bachelor edition of our time. We start with a preview for the whole season full of kissing, proclamations of love, lightning, tears, shouting matches.

And the show hadn't even begun. And I was already having a revelation within myself about the bachelor franchise. On most reality dating shows people live in fear of like being sent home. But on this franchise now every season, at least one person sobs.

I want to go home and they can. Please let, please let me out of here. This is the dating show people want to escape and they cannot. It's a horror movie.

At one point in this little promo, Jesse literally says, who will meet only pain and suffering? I don't know how I missed that line, but that is art.
