What's up everyone? Welcome back to Friday's episode of Epic Gardening. Happy Friday. Hope you're having a good day and hope you're going to have a good weekend. So today we're talking about pompous grass also known as Cortadaria Salawana.

0:14.8

Now in a lot of places in the world and especially the country,

0:19.0

Pompous grass is actually considered an invasive plant.

0:22.1

But if you're in an area where it is not

0:25.9

considered an invasive plant I would highly recommend that you tune into this

0:29.7

episode and learn what it is and how to grow it.

0:34.0

Now first a little bit of history.

1:30.6

The reason it's called a gold band is because the slender leaves have narrow stripes of yellow that really pop.

1:39.0

Next we've got Cordedaria celloana alboliniata silver stripe pretty similar to gold band

1:46.7

in growth rate in height except for that the white stripes are present along the leaves instead of the gold stripes.

1:55.5

Now if you want one that's a bit smaller I would recommend Cortadary SLO on a pumilla,

1:59.8

which is the dwarf pompous grass variety. That grows only to about four and a half to five feet and then some
