And we start in Pakistan.

And that is the moment the country's former Prime Minister Imran Khan was led away

surrounded by dozens of paramilitaries after his arrest at the high court in the capital Islamabad.

Mr. Khan was at the court for an unrelated hearing on corruption charges,

one of several court cases he's facing.

Leaders of Mr. Khan's PTI party called for his supporters to take to the streets

and there have been reports of clashes in several cities with police using water cannon and tear gas

against activists. Shandana Ghulzak Khan, a former Commerce Secretary with the PTI,

said Mr. Khan's detention would not weaken the party.

In terms of leadership, there is no other Imran Khan.

But in terms of party leadership, can we win an election?

Absolutely. Because PTI now stands for Pakistan. Imran Khan symbolizes the freedom for Pakistan.

He symbolizes a break from the slavish mentality we've become used to.
