Another page in the unfolding. Hi, this is Meredith Foster. No matter what you experience, you can stand as long as you're holding on to Jesus.

That seemed to be the recurring theme of the Bible stories Laura Perreno studied as she was

leading a women's ministry. Over and over it came down to this. Well, it's one thing to preach it and

teach it. It's another to live it out. How do you hold on to Jesus when you're robbed of your

sense of safety, when the place that had been your sanctuary becomes a crime scene,

what possible purpose could there be in this kind of pain? So tell me what was going on in your life?

Well, at that time, Meredith, I was living a life where, if you think about the passage in

Ephesians 3, 20, and 21, where God talks about the fact that we are going to

experience above and beyond in our relationship with God. Sometimes we have a perception on what

that above and beyond is going to look like. And I was living this dream. I had gone back to

Bible school after being a teacher for many years. I'd gone back to

Bible school and I had a call on my life to become a pastor. And so I went to Bible school five years,

finished it up. I got my dream job at a church and I was ministering to women. I was leading a Bible

study where it was growing and we just had this tremendous group of ladies

that would join together a couple times a month and we would just dive into the Word of God.

And for years, this group was growing and we were excited about what God was doing.
