And I think there was a fear of maybe making the same mistakes that my mom and dad did.

Hi, this is Meredith Foster.

Whenever I'm getting to know a couple, I love to hear how they met.

There's just something sweet about a story of falling in love.

That had been Ryan Otto's dream.

He is the first to admit that he loved the idea of a fairy tale romance. But at the same time, he was so afraid of making a mistake, choosing the quote-unquote wrong person, so afraid that he couldn't go on a date, let alone commit to love someone. So it was easier to just

stay single. My mom and dad were high school sweethearts and they went to college together and then

freshman year I happened. And so I was definitely a mistake in the world in the world's eyes,

but definitely a plan in God's eyes and but growing up I

was raised by my grandparents a lot and my mom and dad my dad works for John Deere and kind of lives

has traveled all over and so um just kind of growing up like with this dream of falling in love

I remember you you know, watching

Disney movies probably put this as well, but just wanting to fall in love and find that perfect

person and to really have a family because I didn't know what that was like. I have brothers and sisters

now, but they're all half brothers and sisters and I just, you know, going to friends' houses. I never

knew what it was like
