Another page in the unfolding. As a child, Jessie wanted what most of us do, to feel loved and accepted.

Unfortunately, when her family moved, she found herself in a situation of being outcast, bullied, and her life became one of fear.

We've heard some hard stories on the unfolding,

and this is definitely one of those. So just a word of caution, if you or someone you love is

dealt with sex trafficking or domestic violence, Jesse's story might be hard to hear.

I was born in Southern Illinois, a pretty normal childhood, a little timid, happy, blonde hair, blue-eyed little girl.

Until the age of 10, my family and I moved to New Mexico, and I felt fear for the first time.

I was in a school where I was the minority. I was beaten up at the bus stop. One day I'm sitting at my desk in class, and a girl

walked up behind me and grabbed my hair and slammed my face into the desk several times, so I had to

have surgery on my face. I just wanted to fit in. Was that as a 10-year-old? A 10-year-old? It was

fearful, of course. I was scared to death, but I had no idea that the world was so different than my little

town in southern Illinois.

So was your family aware of what was going on?

Well, they knew.

They knew, but I guess they didn't really know how it was affecting me.
