Kenji Gallo says as far back as he could remember, he felt empty.

So when he saw the leaders of organized crime, how respected they were, the money, the power, he knew he wanted that.

By the time Kenji was a teenager, he was well on his way to a life of crime, a life that eventually

led him to a place in the mafia and a life that seemed to have no way out. Here's Kenji.

I grew up in an upper middle class area in a place called Irvine, California, and I was just

different than everyone. I had, I decided that I just wanted to be a criminal.

Really? Yes. I read the stories, and I just looked up to those kind of guy, watched the

movies, kind of, and I thought about, you know, being like Al looked up to those kind of guys, watched the movies kind of,

and I thought about, you know, being like Al Capone and those kind of guys.
