hugged by a father. And again, crystal clear words from the Lord that said, yes, and I've been hugging

you all these years. God's story has been unfolding.

In 1 John chapter 3, verse 1, it says,

See what great love the father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God.

And that is what we are.

God is our father.

Sometimes it's hard to comprehend that. It's made so much easier when you've had a good and

healthy relationship with your earthly dad. It can be more complicated if you haven't. This week on

the unfolding, we're sharing three stories of fathers from Mark Schultz, Gina Copeland, and Jeremy

Rosado. These are stories of how God often works healing in and through

fathers, whether they're biological, adoptive, or those who simply choose to step into the role

of dad. Mark Schultz is a singer and songwriter and an incredible storyteller. One part of Mark's

personal story is adoption. He grew up knowing

he was adopted, and he's shared that story in songs and in concerts. Mark admits he's always been

an overachiever, motivated by this deeply held desire to prove that his adoptive parents made

the right choice. But it wasn't until Mark was holding his own adopted daughter that he had a revelation

about the father's love.

We had a couple of kids, and even before kids, my wife's like, I think we need to adopt.
