And then I fell in love with Jesus because I actually heard him through her and I saw him through her because it was an impossible thing.

Stubborn, selfish, atheist, adulterer.

These are all words that Darren Mulligan uses to describe who he was as a young adult.

And maybe not surprisingly, he was also miserable. So when

his girlfriend announced she'd met Jesus, she'd found hope and healing, Darren wasn't happy for her.

He was actually angry. It's hard to believe this was the man who would one day share the gospel

with thousands through his music. Darren is the lead singer for We Are Messengers. It's a

group that originated in Ireland. And what to many appeared to be an overnight success story

was actually a hard and very messy journey to Jesus. By the way, this interview was the first time

I've had a chance to talk with an artist literally right before they step on

stage for a concert. So you hear it sounds a little bit different. Here is Darren's story.
